About Sons and Daughters Driving school

Welcome to Sons and Daughters Driving and my view of what I think a driving school can be. Underlying my approach is the belief that most of our drivers need more experience before becoming licensed and released into the aggressive and complex environment we call "everyday driving." Realistically, the only way this can happen is with active parental participation in the new driver's practice time. A driving school can help achieve this goal by helping the parent become more comfortable in the passenger seat by providing useful information, tips and techniques that help "calm the nerves.

Mike Grimshaw's Experience

Over nine years and near 200,000 plus miles of "in car experience" I have learned how difficult it is for experienced driver to see the driving task from a beginner's view.

The Mission of Sons and Daughters Driving School

Sons and Daughters approach to teaching young adults to drive involves support for the whole family with the end goal being more driving time and experience for the new driver before they road test. What I propose is a comprehensive "exposure based" driving process that allows you to know your son or daughter can demonstrate basic skills in a broad range of driving conditions. What I promise is support to help you spend more time driving with your teen, teaching them to see and think as they develop a broader, safer driving awareness.
